I personally own a HTC
2009 Shadow with WM6.1. I
hear excellent things
about zsIRC. The only
downer is the CAB cannot
be installed on my
device, and running the
contents of the zip does
not work either. After
reading another topic
that wasnt originally
intended for working with
zsirc on wm6.1 I decided
to make my own topic. http://zsirc.com/forum.ph p?topic=61 The above link is to the previous topic where some information was pulled from. According to the author (most likely the main one reading this) "zsIRC uses the following DLLs:" WS2.dll commdlg.dll COREDLL.dll commctrl.dll AYGSHELL.dll DocList.dll WININET.dll The commdlg.dll and the DocList.dll are not found on a Non touch Windows Mobile 6.1 Device. By much aggravation I have managed to locate both dll's (doclist being the hardest out of the two). I will provide the DLL's in the link below. http://www.megaupload.com /?d=E4FYFSO6 Inside is a readme explaining the DLL's and there orgin. Putting these dll's under the Windows folder of the device allows zsIRC to run using the files from the zip. However the GUI is extremely bugging beyond belief. Possibly due to the origin of the commdlg. zsIRC runs fine without the doclist.dll however it seems to be a needed dll and needs to be registered on the device. I myself haven't had my wm device long enough to know how to do so. So if if the developer of zsIRC can message me on AIM or MSN. I will keep an eye out on this topic for a reply. And I will be more than willing to help you, help your users get this working on wm6.1 :) |

Those dependencies have been removed in newer versions - are you sure you're trying with a recently released one? |

The config had to be edited by hand. |
